Episode 64: The One with Danielle and Rihanna

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas!

This week has been excellent!We found lots of new investigators, picked back up a few investigators who disappeared for a while, and just generally did a lot of good missionary work. I don't think I could ask for anything more in my life than what I have. God is good to me!

Also, two of our investigators, Danielle and Rihanna, are getting baptized on December 29th! They are a mom and a daughter, and They are just so cute! Danielle found the church when she started dating a member, and her conversion has just been awesome. I'm so excited for the two of them.

In other news, we tracted in below freezing weather, which is pretty cold, but it's kinda fun to bundle up and look all puffy. I feel like the scientists in Antarctica! We also don't have an ice scraper, so we scrape the frost off of our car with a gift card and a spatula!

Episode 63: The One with Zone Conference and Christmas Miracles

Hello lovely friends and family! This week has been great!

We had zone conference this week, which means that all the missionaries in all of Tacoma and Lakewood got together for trainings and a devotional. And guess who got to give one of the trainings...

This week has also been a great week for finding. We have been working really hard and doing our best to talk to everyone we see, and the payoffs are pretty obvious! Just last night we found 2 new investigators who are both really solid and want to get baptized. I think it has something to do with the Christmas season. Lots of people seem more inclined to talk about Jesus when His name and his picture are everywhere. What a great time of year!

I have been thinking a lot about faith recently. One of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon is Ether 12, which you can read here:

The principle of faith is amazing. It is how we know of things that are true when we cannot see them. Faith is everything from knowing that the sun will rise again after it has set for the night, to knowing that the Son of God rose again after he had been dead for 3 days, to knowing that because He is risen, we can be cleansed from our sins and find joy in our lives.
